Personal organizer is a role I take on for those who are looking for consistent help keeping their home, office, or other spaces organized. A personal organizer, as the name may imply, is someone who works closely with you in your journey to keep orderly, organized, and flowing spaces in every aspect of your life. As a personal organizer, I work with folks who have a lot on their plate and need some help learning how to manage said plate.
We work together for a number of sessions to make sure that you feel empowered and completely in control of your spaces and feel confident with your new organization skills. Eventually you become your own personal organizer. That's the end-goal.
If you break the phrase down a little bit, personal organization essentially means maintaining order in and around the person. Not only do I teach you how to keep your bathroom cabinets in order, but also how to keep your inner life in order as well. The outer environment (kitchen pantry or glove compartment in your car) is nothing but an extension of your inner life.
If you're chaotic inside, chances are, the spaces that you take care of are chaotic as well. It's a closed loop cycle. That's just the simple way of things. But you can't forget that this rule works just as much for you as it can work against you.
What do I mean by that? Well, I mean the opposite is true, too: that if you're peaceful and integrated inside, the spaces around you are integrated as well.
This is my absolute favorite part of being a personal organizer. I help you create peace in your life by working on both ends of things (the inner and the outer). You put in a little bit of work on your fridge and now every day opening it up makes you feel good and not hectic. At the same time, you apply a few simple breathing exercises to your life and that keeps you cool and calm and prevents you from neglecting your organization systems. It works both ways! And you become your own personal organizer.
